5/2/11 – 17 miles (56 total)
The wind last night and today has been ridiculous! My tent first blew down around 11pm last night, and then over and over again until I gave up and just slept, sorta, with it laying on top of me. Same story for Meredith.
Walking today was a fight against the wind as well. But on the bright side, we scored an awesome campsite in the middle of a boulder field!
Yes, we are sleeping under there!
Currently working on mixed drink featuring instant polenta and stove alcohol. Also attempting to get local speakeasy to add “dropped and rolled ” as an option along with “shaken or stirred”. How hikers inspire the slothful and sedentary!!
