Day 26 – 5/23/11 – 17 miles (369)

We went to sleep and woke up in the mist of a cloud. After a few miles the clouds were below us and enjoying the sun again.

It was a fairly quick 17 miles to the highway, where a very nice man was waiting to offer us a ride into Wrightwood. This was just the beginning of the magic of this wonderful town. Standing in front of the hardware store, a woman approached us and offered us her home to stay the night, including dinner, showers, and laundry. We of course gladly accepted. But first, we did our grocery shopping, and stopped at a bar for a round of beers where a local picked up the tab!
The family we are staying with are amazingly generous and we are very blessed to be with them.
