Day 47 – 6/13/11 – 0 miles (704)

A perfect zero day. We pretended we might hike out in the afternoon, put in 10 miles or so. But unless you decide with conviction from th start you’re going to hike out on any given day, it will never happen. After an awesome breakfast cooked by Sprinkles’s family, Ninja and I got a ride back down to the general store. We took care of some more chores and hung out for a little while. In the afternoon, we joined a bunch of other hikers down by the Kern River. All the cool kids were jumping in the river, so we did too. Thankfully, it was slightly warmer than the ice water I was anticipating.

We returned to the campsite and had another great night of food and games, and a jam session from Mr. Gentle Spirit and Pepe. It was well after midnight when we finally got to bed
