Day 43 – 6/9/11 – 0 miles (651)

Oops, we zeroed again. As planned, we hitched into Lake Isabella to get some food and do laundry. The town is 37 miles from the trail, but we got rides very easily. Ninja didn’t even have to hike up her skirt. It was a pretty standard town stop: We enjoyed some good milkshakes at Nelda’s Diner, and some lady yelled at KBomb at the laundromat.

We returned to Walker Pass by mid afternoon, and talked about leaving after the heat of the day to put in 5 or 6 miles. But of course we never ended up leaving. The trail magic and company of other hikers was too good to pass up.
