Day 83 – 7/19/11 – 17 miles (1155)

We had a good day of walking, finishing by 2:30pm, and catching up with our pals Spock, Twiggy, and Dutch (collectively referred to as “STD”).

When we reached Donner Pass, we called trail angels Bill and Molly at Pooh Corner. They are great folks who picked us up from the trailhead and took us to their vacation home on Donner Lake. There we enjoyed showers, laundry, and lots of food. Ninja and I also made a quick trip into Truckee to get groceries for the next couple days to Sierra City.
