Day 111 – 8/16/11 – 31 miles (1762)

The trail was easy, but unremarkable today. It was a bit hard to get moving again after so much time off.
We ran into fellow thru-hikers Turtle, Magellan and Sourdough southbounding. They had gotten off the trail back in the Sierra and are now bouncing around hiking other sections. When we said that we’d come straight through all the snow, they congratulated us as if we’d already finished the trail. On one hand, it does feel like we’re on the down home stretch, but really we still have 900 miles to go!
