Day 134 – 9/8/11 – 26 miles (2290)

Goat Rocks is one of those places you start hearing about long before you get there, and rightly so. The trail finally got out of the trees again, and we had some fantastic views. We could seem a storm looming over Mt Adams all day, but it never quite caught up to us.
I think I saw some goats, but they were so far away they just looked like little specs. Hopefully I’ll see some closer. There are also elk in the area. I’ve seen tracks a few times, but no sightings yet.

I’m glad the scenery was so good today. It almost makes me forget how worn out I am from all the steep ups and downs and loose gravel trail bed.
