Day 144 – 9/18/11 – 27 miles (2519)

The weatherman did a good job with his prediction: rain. All night and all morning it rained on and off, but mostly on. As cozy as I was in my tent this morning, I had to get out and walk. I wore my rain suit, of course, but by the top of the first climb I was soaked with sweat underneath. This lead to me being cold anytime I wasn’t climbing. The only thing to do was keep walking.
Thankfully around noon we crossed a pass and the weather cleared up a bit. The rest of the day was much drier, and we even took a break to air out our tents.
We are once again in a valley to camp. The sky is completely clouded over, but hopefully the rain is mostly over.
