Day 131 – 9/5/11 – 26 miles (2206)

Thus far, Washington miles are proving tougher than Oregon miles, and the climbs wore us out today.

Around 11:00am we saw a sign advertising trail magic for this weekend through Monday morning. Unfortunately, we were still 15 miles from the location, and knew we wouldn’t make it. We held out hope that maybe there would be a cooler left behind. But when we got close to road, we ran into a couple hiking with their dogs. They turned out to be the Lees, the trail magic providers! They decided to stay an extra night since they still had food. We enjoyed a nice evening of their company and a great spaghetti dinner.
