Day 136 – 9/10/11 – 23 miles (2326)
After a nice lazy morning, we got back on trail around 10 am. We passed lots of little lakes and got bit by lots of little mosquitos, so all in all it was a typical day on the PCT in the Cascades. We skirted the boundary of Mt Rainier National Park for a few miles. If we did enter it, it was only briefly.
I saw a marmot, a different variety than those in the Sierra. Daybreaker told us it’s a whistling marmot.
