Day 34 – 5/26/13 – 26.7 mi (634.6)

Wired missed the memo that we were tired and wanted to sleep in and woke us all up about 6:15 with the announcement that Mary was making coffee. I did enjoy the coffee as well as a breakfast burrito. By about 7, Frank returned from his early morning fishing trip with one small catch. He gutted it and threw it on the fire for all of us to share. Yum! Mary and Frank were wondefully generous and we were lucky to meet such great people. Thank you!

We finally got moving just after 8:00am and lucked into some cool weather. Just after lunch we caught up to Annie, Sweet As, and Aquaman who had passed us while we were enjoying our breakfast in the campground this morning. We walked with them a few miles before they took off at their usual pace, which I would have to run to keep up with.

We made good time all day, though I’m skeptical the mileage (as reported by the Bear Creek data) is actually correct. Either way, tomorrow we’re set to finish New Mexico, enter Colorado, and get to town!
