Day 54 – 6/15/13 – 0 mi (932.3)

What a great zero day! We made an elaborate breakfast of French toast, bacon, sausage, veggie omelets, fruit and yogurt.

In the afternoon, Stryder’s aunt, uncle and cousin came all the way from Denver to visit. It was really nice to meet them, and many thanks for all the food!

In the early evening we watched the highlight event of the kayaking festival: the hooligan race. People make rafts out of random uncoventional materials and float down the river trying to grab prizes. It was fun to watch but it was hot in the sun and we were tired.

In the evening we did all the chores we neglected all day and of course ended up getting to bed too late. We will hike back to the trail early tomorrow morning.
