Day 64 – 6/25/13 – 20 mi (1081.0)

We escaped the town vortex early this morning and comfortably walked 20 miles. We passed a ton of fresh enthusiastic CT hikers who all wanted to stop and chat, at least with LoveNote. At the very end of the day we hit the split from the CT, so we’ll be back to no signage and no other hikers tomorrow.

The highlight of the day was dessert, when we dug into the one pound Snickers bar, a gift to LoveNote from 2011 PCT friends MeowMeow and Funyun. LoveNote, Stryder, Silly Chili, Rockin’ and I all split it…at once of course.

Our campsite, despite being lumpy, slanty, exposed, and waterless was found at 6:30pm and has a good view if you get out of bed, so good enough!
