Day 122 – 8/22/13 – 27 mi (2209.9)
It was overcast all day, which was actually a blessing since much of the day we were walking through burn zones. We got a little rain first thing in the morning as we were packing up to leave camp, and again for the last couple miles of hiking, but nothing that really mattered.
We entered the Anaconda-Pintler wilderness, which is pretty nice in the little bits that aren’t burned. The highlight of the day was seeing 2 really cute baby ptarmigan (or some kind of grouse?) walk across the trail. Sadly, I had my camera put away for rain at the time.
