Day 129 – 8/29/13 – 16 mi (2354.6)

We had a leisurely morning in town with coffee floats for breakfast in our motel room. Around lunch time I hitched out with LoveNote and Burly. Ninja and Sweetfish were planning to leave shortly after.

We regained some of the elevation we’d lost coming into the pass, but mostly it was pretty easy walking other than frequently sidestepping fresh cowpies. Ten miles in, we tanked up for 15 miles to the next water and dry camping, only to find plenty of water on the alternate route we walked. The next couple of days will have some longer water carries, but thanks to smartphones and Facebook groups, we have recent water reports from other hikers.
