The Wedding

Those who followed my 2013 CDT hike will be delighted to know that LoveNote and Burly Whites have tied the knot!

They had a beautiful wedding at 10,000′ in the eastern Sierra, not far from Bishop, CA.  It was a true joy to celebrate their love – and have a CDT hiker reunion!!  The whole gang was there, even Ninja, Sweetfish, and Silly Chili, who live east of the Mississippi.  Annie Mac made a surprise appearance, and even some stray hiker whose van broke down in Lone Pine was there.

I also had a blast meeting all of Burly’s family, who became quite involved in our CDT hike, loyally following the blog and sending us letters and treats. And of course we snuck in a few little day hikes.  What a great weekend!

    How fabulous to see you all! Congrats to Burley and LoveNote. Fun to see Huckleberry all grown up!! We have such fond memories of you all! If you are ever in the Bitterroot, find us. We were the Travellers Rest Hosts in Darby MT. Matt teaches at the Bitterroot College now! Hugs all around! Thanks DNR for keeping us in the loop! RH
