Day 7 3/20/16
16.3 miles
115.7 total
We thought today was going to be almost entirely on “trail”. The maps showed a 4WD road running the entire length of Salt Creek, and though it’s now closed to motorized vehicles, we figured, being a major trail in a National Park, it would, well, be a trail.
The beginning was really just a bushwhack along the creek, crossing back and forth from bank to bank and up into pokey things when the banks we too steep. No sign of a road really. It did get better with more defined use paths later in the day, but was still fairly slow going.

We didn’t have too far to go though because we have a permit for a designated campsite in the Park and got to camp about 4pm. This turned out to be fortunate for poor Bubs who developed a whole bunch of nasty blisters yesterday making today pretty miserable for her. I developed heat rash on my legs, not a big deal but annoying. Rockin prescribed and dispensed lavender oil to both of us to cure our ailments.
Hopefully tomorrow goes a bit better!

You guys have a lot more water in there than I did last year!
The Doctor is in the house!! Ha. I hope you get these speed bumps behind you and have a great time. Bubs, hope your feet heal extraordinarily fast, like say, a miracle.
